Inside Columbia magazine will once again honor the Best of Columbia, but we can't do it without you! Your nominations during the month of November will determine who and what will appear on our final ballot in December.
You may make one nomination per category, but you are not required to make a nomination in every category. All nominees should be based in or near Columbia. Think carefully about your choices because you will not be allowed to vote more than once in this phase of the voting.
If you've voted for Best of Columbia before, you'll notice that we're featuring fewer categories this year. We'll be including some categories on a rotating basis so if your favorite category isn't included this year, chances are it will appear on next year's list.
It's important to us that these awards be an honest and accurate representation of public opinion, so we have taken even more steps this year to enhance security in the voting process. Any indication of fraud or ballot-stuffing could, at the discretion of the
Inside Columbia editors, result in the elimination of a nominee or an entire category from the Best of Columbia ballot.
In order to vote, you must first complete the following steps:
- provide your name
- provide a valid e-mail address
- select yes or no to the e-newsletter offers
- retype two displayed words. If the words are unclear, click the blue reset button to the right of the displayed words. Do not hit the return key after you type the words because that will cause an error message. Instead, click the "next page" button to continue with the survey.
The final Best of Columbia ballot will be available at www.InsideColumbia.net on Dec. 7, 2009.
