Rock Recovery: Needs Survey

Page One
Like existing residential treatment facilities, Rock Recovery houses will provide supportive living (e.g. accountability for meals and exercise) and recovery-oriented activities (e.g. individual and group therapy, nutritional guidance, 12-Step meetings).

However, Rock Recovery houses will be different from existing treatment options in the following ways:

- Rock Recovery houses will provide support and recovery-oriented activities in the morning, after work, and overnight, so that individuals can work, attend school, or be with their family during the workday.

- Instead of the outrageous price of existing residential treatment facilities ($10,000 to $100,000/month), as a nonprofit, the cost of living at a Rock Recovery house will be FREE, or on a donation basis, approximate the cost of rent in the local metropolitan area.

- Rock Recovery houses will be Christ-centered, yet open to all. As a Christian organization, Rock Recovery’s approach toward recovery will focus on biblical principles. However, like 12-Step programs, Rock Recovery houses will be open to all who are ready to believe that “a power greater than themselves can restore [them] to sanity.”
1. In general, to what degree are Rock Recovery Houses (affordable recovery-oriented living environments for individuals struggling with food obsession and eating/exercise disorders) needed?
2. To what degree does your metropolitan area need a Rock Recovery House?
3. About how many women, including yourself, do you know who could benefit from living in a Rock Recovery House for a month or more?
